Background<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/section>

About 40 years ago a growth hormone for immune cells was discovered that these cells produce themselves. In cell culture in the laboratory immune cells, the body\u2019s own police, began to proliferate.<\/p>\n

And this growth factor could do much more. Initially it was named T cell growth factor<\/strong>, but under its influence immune cells not only increased in number, they also became highly effective killer cells against cancer and virus cells. T cell growth factor was renamed Interleukin-2.<\/span> Since 1991, a medicinal product variant has been on the market that has since been approved internationally in several countries for renal cell carcinoma, melanoma and AIDS and can offer unparalleled chances for cure, but unfortunately with the risk of considerable side effects.<\/p>\n

So far nowhere near all functions of this immune hormone have been uncovered and a particular challenge remains the development of effective, well-tolerated therapies that can be used for targeted and intelligent control of immune functions as required. Interleukin-2 is a natural immune hormone and the basis for our modern medicines, vaccines and growth factors. We develop products focusing on immune defense<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On contact with interleukin-2 immune cells start to multiply, recognize cancer and virus cells and act as \u201cnatural killer cells\u201d to destroy these harmful cells. The immune hormone can be given as a therapy, the activated cells administered as a medicine and vaccines enhanced by it.<\/p>\n

It is important to assure that a medicinal product is well tolerated, which depends largely on how it is administered. Immunservice has extensive experience with precisely such well-tolerated routes of administration as inhalation and local injection in patient studies and in animal therapies. Immune hormones help to cure cancer and viral diseases and can even do much more. Immunservice develops its own broad range of innovative interleukin-2 based medicines for market approval in order to make available to patients in need new, especially local and well-tolerated therapies such as inhalation therapy for lung metastases (Orphan Designation from the EMA) or to combat modern \u201cmass epidemics\u201d like obesity with natural means through immunostimulating <\/span>treatment (international patents granted).<\/p>\n

Our team has the most expertise internationally in inhalation for lung metastases, instillation for bladder cancer and local injection for aggressive viral tumours.
